A master of visual Art in textile design from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, he became an eminent costume designer and worked in films with directors like Rituparno Ghosh. Got National Film Award as best costume designer for Chokher Bali in 2004. Famous for his brilliant Art works and installations in many reputed and well known Durga Pujas. Won multiple Sharad Samman awards as a scenographer of Durga Puja Art.
